Administrative assistants are the unsung (but not underappreciated) heroes of the corporate world, providing critical executive support. Our Administrative Assistant Associate of Applied Science Degree program prepares students for a challenging career in today’s modern, digitally driven office. Students develop specialized skills in the latest office equipment (printers, copiers, faxes & phones), word processing, office systems, accounting and office administration. Graduates will be trained for rewarding roles as administrative support personnel in today’s high-tech office environment.

Skills You'll Learn
1 Apply general accounting principles to process payroll and manage petty cash.
2 Meet or exceed industry-standard rate of words per minute (WPM) for typing.
3 Manage records and file systems in a work-related setting usng advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database software.
4 Demonstrate solid mathematical and verbal skills for effective job performance and communication.
5 Develop thinking processes and learning strategies for success in a business environment.
6 Utilize a variety of software applications (word processing, e-mail, calendars, presentations, spreadsheets, databases, Web-based programs and the Windows OS) to store and distribute information electronically.
