Home / News / 2015 Graduation Becomes a Family Affair for Two Couples June 17, 2015 2015 Graduation Becomes a Family Affair for Two Couples By B&SC News Team HAMPTON ROADS, VA, June 17, 2015 – The Hampton & Virginia Beach campuses of Bryant & Stratton College will join ceremonies to matriculate its largest graduating class ever, this Saturday, June 20th at 11am at the Hampton University Convocation Center in Hampton. Among this year’s 290 new graduates are two local married couples who have all benefitted from the always encouraged “buddy-system” style of education. Norfolk couple Dennis & Teresa Henson will graduate together, both earning their Associate of Applied Science in Human Resources Specialist degrees. Joseph & Elissa Barton, another Norfolk couple, are also graduating, with Joseph earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and his wife Elissa earning an Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice. Other relatives also graduating are mother and daughter duo Nicole Elliott & Tamara Morning, with Nicole earning a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration degree and her daughter, Tamara earning an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice degree, along with cousins Tiffany & Crystal Banks. Tiffany will earn her Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Administrative Assistant and Crystal earning an Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Assisting. Top honor Virginia Beach graduates among bachelor’s degree recipients are: Valedictorian Tameka Myers, earning a Criminal Justice degree; Salutatorian Johnny Reynolds IV, earning a Financial Services degree. Top honor Virginia Beach graduates among associate’s degree recipients are: Valedictorian Anthony Clemmons, earning a Network Technology degree; Salutatorian Aileen Cubacub, with an Accounting degree. Top honor Hampton graduates among bachelor’s degree recipients are: Valedictorian Candace Bagley, earning a General Management degree (No bachelor’s degree salutatorian) Top honor Hampton graduates among associate’s degree recipients are: Valedictorian Valerie Jackson and salutatorian John Richardson, Jr., both earning their Criminal Justice degrees. Newport News Sheriff Gabriel Morgan Sr., will deliver the commencement address to the new 2015 graduates and their families.
