Home / News / Gayle’s Closet to be Featured at Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia Event September 23, 2019 Gayle's Closet to be Featured at Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia Event By B&SC News Team Local Community Organization to Host Free Baby and Toddler Clothing Event for Mothers in Need Bryant and Stratton College’s mobile clothing closet will also be on site to provide free professional clothing for men and women. Gayle’s Closet is a campus initiative to help students and local residents get professional clothing. Shoppers are eligible for one free outfit. Clothing is available in sizes 6-22. Catholic Charities pregnancy counseling and parenting support program offers case management services to help pregnant women and new parents make a safe parenting plan, and to discuss and address all of the family’s needs. Families also receive help in connecting to other available community resources addressing needs such as: housing, employment, insurance, and education. Our staff will follow families for a year to ensure that they are in the best position possible to raise healthy, happy children. About Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia: CCEVA serves more than 9,200 local families annually, providing free diapers, baby clothing and case management for pregnant women and new parents, offering mental health counseling, providing financial assistance and education, connection to primary care and dental services for the uninsured, and through programs to aid seniors. More than 85% of those served are not Catholic, and 90% of clients live at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
