Bobcats Pounce on Paul Smith's College 5 - 0 in USCAA Debut

Paul, Smiths, NY – Bryant & Stratton College men’s soccer team cruised to a 5-0 win against fellow USCAA member, Paul Smith’s College. Sophomore forward, Sean Latimer (England), scored 3 of the 5 Bobcats’ goals. The 2013 NJCAA All-American netted his 1st goal in the fourteenth minute of the match. The Bobcat’s offense proved to be too much as they outshot their opponents 37-4 and improved their record to 1-0.

“This was a tremendous result,” Bobcats coach Nick Dimitrievski said. “They were an older team comprised of juniors and seniors but our speed of play broke them down. I attribute it to our mental toughness and prior preparation during pre-season that allowed us to compete at this level.”

“We have enjoyed tremendous success in the NJCAA for the past 16 years and I am very excited and look forward to building new rivalries and facing competition against top four year institutions as the Bobcats move to the USCAA (United States Collegiate Athletic Association) in 2014,” stated coach Nick Dimitrievski. “With the addition of the Bachelors programs to the campus, this elite league will allow students the opportunity to utilize all 4 years of eligibility at the college.”
