Home / Athletics / Men’s and Women’s Soccer Advance to National Semifinals April 22, 2019 Men's and Women's Soccer Advance to National Semifinals By B&SC Athletics Team There would be no repeat of past misfortune for the Lady Bobcats soccer team as they advanced to the semifinals of the USCAA National Tournament with a 3-0 win over Alfred State. Alfred State exerted a quick-strike attack to snatch a 3-2 win away from BSC earlier in the year, but the Bobcats kept the Pioneers at bay last night. Amanda Belsito’s goal in the 33rd minute would be all BSC would need as she slotted home a pass from Nicolette Weir. Weir would be busy in the second half as well, factoring on both of BSC’s insurance markers. First, she’d set up All-American Adela Racic in the 69th minute before picking up a goal of her own in the 86th minute. Megan Hagadorn was superb in net, turning away all eight shots she faced. Next up for the Bobcats is a date with the number one seeded University of Maine-Fort Kent today at 11:30am. Dajhal Kelly was the hero of the day for the Bryant & Stratton College men as they dispatched SUNY Delhi 2-0 to advance to the USCAA semifinals. Kelly scored both Bobcats goals only 1:49 apart in the first half. The goals would be all the Bobcats would need as they held Delhi to only one shot attempt that failed to even force Harry Watson into a save. BSC will face Berkeley College today at 2:00 to determine the National Championship seeding.
