Bryant & Stratton College Celebrates V3 Certification

Virginia Values Veterans Program (V3) is a free training and certification program that allows employers of all fields to help implement nationally recognized best practices in recruiting, hiring, and retaining highly skilled and dependable veterans. The program provides education, training, and connectivity to the Virginia military community, and offers veteran and military spouse talent.

Virginia has a unique opportunity to help veterans in the community to gain career employment by allowing employers to become certified and connect them to Veterans seeking employment. Having one of the youngest Veteran populations in the United States, this program allows thousands of new veterans in Virginia to enter the workforce each year. This number is expected to continue to rise.

Bryant & Stratton College Virginia Beach, Hampton, and Richmond, Virginia, campuses are proud to announce they successfully became V3 certified on June 28, 2022. By becoming V3 certified, the college can participate in networking and job fair events within the community and military installations. Hiring and being a resource for higher education is our commitment to supporting local veterans.

“Being V3 certified gives Bryant & Stratton College visibility with thousands of veterans as it relates to employment and higher education opportunities. We are recognized as a supporter of our veteran community, and our participation with Veteran related activities will increase as a strategic partner” says Carolene Harris-Goodwyn, market director, business development and community relations for Bryant & Stratton College Virginia Beach and Hampton campuses.

The Virginia Values Veterans Program is an official Commonwealth of Virginia program that is authorized under the Code of Virginia. It is organized under the directorate of Veterans Education, Training, and Employment (VETE), within the Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS), an agency of the Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs.

To become a V3 certified employer you must submit an online application and attended V3 employer training seminars to complete the necessary training requirements for state certification.

“It was a proud and rewarding moment to receive our certificate, which was signed by Governor of Virginia Glenn Youngkin” Carolene said. “We are still in a learning curve, but the support we have received has been outstanding. In the future, Bryant & Stratton College will be visiting locations and participating in events at military facilities.”
