Beaman, who has been with the Chesterfield-based career college since 1993, has headed its associate’s degree program in nursing since it was begun last year. She also earned national board certification in psychiatric and mental health nursing last year. “We are all very proud of Nina’s outstanding accomplishments and the success she has made of our new nursing bachelor’s degree program,” said Richmond Campus Director Beth Murphy. “This latest accomplishment reflects her leadership ability and high-standing among her peers throughout Virginia.” The American Psychiatric Nurses Association is a national organization committed to the specialty practice of psychiatric mental health nursing, health and wellness promotion through identification of mental health issues, prevention of mental health problems and the care and treatment of persons with psychiatric disorders.
