By B&SC News Team
The Bobcats defeated Monroe Community College Tribunes 4-2 in the Region III District Championship game on Saturday. The Bobcats scored early when Sean Latimer (England) scored on breakaway with a world class cheeky flip over the goalies head. The Tribunes struck back with two goals early in the second half to put the Bobcats on their heels. With 20 minutes remaining in the game Coach Dimitrievski made an unusual change and added a third forward to their attack. The change was pivotal as it put the Tribunes on their heels resulting in three goals in a span of 10 minutes. The Bobcats never looked back and captured the NJCAA Region III Championship.
Coach Dimitrievski said, “I congratulate our players. They have put on some outstanding performances that include an undefeated record of 11-0, Region III Champions, and the Western New York Athletic Conference Champions. We are back to our tradition of excellence this season.”
