Dr. Laura Voelkl Named Vice President of Academic Affairs at Bryant & Stratton College

BUFFALO, N.Y.–Bryant & Stratton College announces the promotion of Dr. Laura Voelkl to Vice President of Academic Affairs, effective November 1, 2025.

Since joining the College in 2014, Dr. Voelkl has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to academic excellence and student success.

“Laura’s dedication to developing curriculum and programs that align with our students’ goals has been invaluable. Her work exemplifies our Student Champion model, and I am confident she will continue to advance personalized learning and innovation in her new role,” said David Vaden, President of Bryant & Stratton College. “Our success is driven by the talent and commitment of our faculty and staff, and Laura’s continued leadership will further strengthen our academic excellence and student achievement.”

With 16 campuses across New York, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Virginia, as well as a comprehensive online education division, Bryant & Stratton College serves almost 17,000 students. Dr. Voelkl’s leadership in streamlining curriculum and program development has improved both efficiency and collaboration across Academic Affairs. She has also been instrumental in integrating artificial intelligence into the curriculum and expanding faculty development in technology-enhanced teaching.

In addition, Dr. Voelkl serves as a co-leader on the College’s Executive Planning Committee preparing Bryant & Stratton College for reaffirmation with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

“I am honored to continue the important work of championing our students in this new role,” Dr. Voelkl said. “Together with my colleagues in Academic Affairs and our dedicated faculty, we will continue our mission to develop career-focused programs that prepare our students for their future careers.”

Dr. Voelkl holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, as well as master’s certificates in Health Professions in Education and Higher Education Administration.

High Tech Mannequins Innovate Medical Training at Bryant & Stratton College

Bryant & Stratton launched its nursing simulation program in 2008, but its new Chesterfield campus has allowed the program to grow into something that looks remarkably like a working hospital.

The facility includes four skills labs, a five-bed simulation suite, nurse’s station, and advanced simulation technology to immerse students in the realities of patient care.
