Bryant and Stratton College To Open Its Third VA Campus in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va., March 10, 2010 — Bryant & Stratton College – a 156-year-old system of private career colleges operating in four states – announced today that it will open its third campus in Virginia in Hampton’s new Peninsula Town Center.

Joining campuses in Richmond and Virginia Beach, Bryant & Stratton College’s new Hampton Campus will begin classes in September. It will offer a full range of accelerated degree programs in flexible day, evening, weekend and online courses.

“Even in these difficult economic times,” said Tracy Nannery, VP Admissions/Director of the Virginia Colleges, “we have enjoyed continued success at both placing graduates and attracting new students. Our Virginia Beach and Richmond campuses also both recently recorded their fifth consecutive semesters of record enrollments. We are very pleased to be opening in the rapidly growing Peninsula area of Virginia — especially in the new Peninsula Town Center development, which Hampton Mayor Molly Ward has described as an ‘upscale, energy-filled mixed-use project.’”

Bryant & Stratton College is an accredited institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) www.msche.org. In addition to Virginia, the College has campuses in New York, Ohio and Wisconsin and an Online Education Division.

Founded in 1854, Bryant & Stratton College has built its reputation and success on a commitment to excellence and high standards. We’re proud to be accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104, (267) 284-5000). The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

The Richmond and Virginia Beach campuses both offer a variety of associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs in fields ranging from criminal justice and business administration to health care, financial and legal services in a convenient combination of traditional classroom instruction as well as online and evening classes–all with a highly popular “Children’s College” program for students’ kids. The College’s commitment to life-long learning is also seen in the many certificate and training opportunities available through the Professional Skills Center, the continuing education division of Bryant & Stratton College. Similar programs and amenities will be available to students at the new Hampton campus.
