The Greece Campus is fortunate to have members of the 10th Mountain Division Army Jazz Combo (Fort Drum, NY) to provide musical support for a student lunchtime BBQ. The band will play a few patriotic tunes in conjunction with traditional jazz/swing music. The Constitution Day performance will be one of their last stateside gigs before they deploy with their division the following month for a year in Afghanistan. While deployed, the band will be tasked with guard duty, musical morale building, and other soldierly activities. The Henrietta Campus will enjoy music from the 98th Division Army Rock Band, a Reserve unit located in the heart of Rochester. Members of the 98th Division Band are gearing up for other performances in the Rochester area throughout the fall, and Bryant & Stratton College is honored to have the group on-campus. The Henrietta students will also enjoy a BBQ lunch. Both campuses will start the school day with the playing of the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance for those who wish to participate. Local Army recruiters will lend a distinct touch of patriotism and pride to the event by holding the National colors during the recitation and music. A book display and replica Constitution will be exhibited in the library at both campuses throughout the day.
