Cross Country at Oswego Invitational

Your Bobcat cross-country teams opened their season Saturday at the Oswego Invitational.
The men started of the day racing 8K (5 miles) and were lead by Team Captain Richard Terpening’s 22nd place (28:08/5:37 per mile avg.) finish. Frosh Bob Barrie led the rest of the BSC freshman as he finished 84th (32:14/6:25 per mile avg.). Freshmen Dwane Abramson, Demond Jones, Chris Adjin, Jasen Reyes, Mike Gonzales, Jonathan Barrios and Jeff Thomas contributed strong efforts and completed the team scoring Ithaca College (team avg. 27:17) won the team title with BSC finishing 10th (avg. 34:23) ahead of Wells College and Potsdam State. Captain Jasmine Coffin (70th/24:06) lead the women’s team followed by freshmen Susanna Baez (82nd/24:54) and Diamond Richards (102/28:37). The team failed to score in team standings as they were short a full squad due to injuries.
Next race is Saturday Sept. 17 in Canandaigua at the Finger Lakes CC Invitational.
