The Life, Accident and Health Pre-Licensing Course is a 5-day instructor-led, web-based course that meets the New York State requirement for 40 hours of class preparation. The course covers important insurance concepts and terminology, a deep dive into Life Insurance products (term life and whole life insurance policies, annuities, retirement plans) and Accident and Health Insurance products (medical plans, disability income insurance, long-term care, Medicare supplement policies, accidental death and dismemberment policies), and New York State insurance regulations.
Pre-licensing training for Life, Accident, and Health insurance prepares students for the state licensing exam through curriculum that meets the 40-hour pre-licensing requirement for New York State. Passing a final exam is required to complete the course. Course completion is a mandatory step in obtaining a New York State agent/broker license.
The Life, Accident, and Health insurance pre-licensing courses program at Bryant & Stratton College prepares you to take the state agent licensing exam through a 40-hour program that mixes in-class and home study elements. The program cost includes texts and the exam simulator.
With an Accident and Health license, agents and brokers will be able to sell life insurance policies, long-term care and assorted health and accident policies, annuities and Medicare supplement policies.
*Each state has their own residency requirements relating to pre-licensing education and the successful attainment of an insurance license.
