If supporting an attorney in the courtroom and beyond is the career path you hope to pursue, a civil litigation paralegal certificate could be the perfect fit. Unlike in other paralegal jobs, civil litigation paralegals often attend trials to assist attorneys. The civil litigation program puts you in the courtroom outside of criminal trials, setting graduates up to serve as paralegals or even legal assistants.
In addition to basic legal procedure and research, this program underscores client billing, contract law and law office management. Additional focus is placed upon litigating civil cases, contract law and legal document preparation and ethics as well.
Build a foundation to pursue career opportunities as a paralegal assisting attorneys on civil cases. The civil litigation certificate prepares you to work alongside an attorney in the courtroom and in the office through courses that highlight basic legal procedures and detailed topics related to civil cases.
