HUSS350 - Special Populations in Human and Social Services

Semester Credit Hour(s): 3

This course will provide students with a detailed overview of some of the special populations with whom they are likely to work in the field of human and social services. These vulnerable populations include children, the elderly, individuals with disabilities, those experiencing mental illness, members of marginalized groups, and those of low socioeconomic status. Students will explore the impact that characteristics of these special populations might have on the provision of human and social services.

Prerequisite(s): HUSS100 or HTHS110
