MCCG223 - Advanced CPT and HCPCS II Coding

Semester Credit Hour(s): 3

This advanced course builds on foundational coding principles to provide in-depth instruction in the application of CPT® (Current Procedural Terminology) and HCPCS Level II coding systems. Students will gain specialized knowledge in accurately interpreting medical documentation to assign CPT® and HCPCS Level II codes for complex procedures and services across multiple specialties, including surgery, radiology, pathology, anesthesia, and durable medical equipment (DME). This course is designed to prepare students for advanced professional roles in coding and supports readiness for the AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC®) certification exam.
