NETW242 - Cybersecurity Fundamentals

Semester Credit Hour(s): 3

Students will learn about the current trends, threats, and issues related to securing network assets and infostructure. This course will provide an introductory look at the elements of cybersecurity, including technology and tools, types and attributes of malware. In addition, students will identify various types of network attacks, threats, and vulnerabilities. By the end of this course, students will understand security planning, physical security, perimeter defense, security audits, mobile security threats, and the implementation and enforcement of network security policies and procedures for local and cloud-based implementations.

TECH131 and TECH141
