TECH141 - Software and Operating Systems

Semester Credit Hour(s): 3

This is an introductory course to software, operating systems, and security techniques utilized by organizations in the current workplace.  This course covers several elements of operating systems, including securing, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows and other popular operating systems. The course also includes coverage of operational procedures and techniques, such as backup, change management, and scripting. Successful completion of this course will prepare students for the CompTIA A+ certification exam.
