Bryant & Stratton College’s accreditation status is Accreditation Reaffirmed. The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status on June 22, 2017 was to reaffirm accreditation. MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

Bryant & Stratton College is approved for the training of veterans and other eligible persons and for administering educational programs sponsored by state and federal agencies such as the Bureau of Indian Affairs and state rehabilitation services. The institution is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students.

State Approvals

The academic programs at all Bryant & Stratton College campuses are approved or certified and registered by their respective State Education Departments:

In New York State, Bryant & Stratton College campuses are authorized by the New York State Board of Regents to confer Associate of Occupational Studies and Associate of Applied Science degrees. The Amherst, Buffalo and Southtowns campuses are authorized by the New York State Board of Regents to confer the Bachelor of Business Administration and the Bachelor of Science degree for select programs.

All three Ohio campuses are authorized by the state of Ohio to confer associate and baccalaureate degrees. These degrees are also approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education.

Bryant & Stratton College is an institutional member of the council for the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). See www.NC-SARA.org/states/NY. Bryant & Stratton College is registered as an out-of-state provider of distance education with the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education.

Program Approval & Accreditation

Licensed Practical Nursing Diploma Program

Bryant & Stratton College practical nursing diploma programs are located in Akron, Parma and Solon, OH; Hampton and Richmond, and Virginia Beach, VA; Wauwatosa and Racine, WI. The Ohio Board of Nursing views Akron as a stand-alone program and the Parma and Solon campuses as one program. The licensed practical nurse diploma program offered at the Akron, Parma and Solon campuses have full approval by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The Virginia Board of Nursing views Hampton, Richmond, and Virginia Beach campuses as stand-alone programs. The licensed practical nurse diploma program offered at the Hampton Campus has initial approval by the Virginia Board of Nursing. The licensed practical nurse diploma program offered at the Virginia Beach Campus has initial approval by the Virginia Board of Nursing. The Richmond Campus has full approval by the Virginia Board of Nursing. The Wauwatosa and Racine campuses are viewed as one program and are approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing.

Associate Degree Nursing Program

The ADN Nursing program is offered at the Akron, Solon, Parma, Richmond, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Wauwatosa, and Racine campuses. The Ohio Board of Nursing views Akron as a stand-alone program and the Solon and Parma campuses are viewed as one program. The Akron associate degree nursing program has full approval by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The Solon/Parma associate degree nursing program has provisional approval by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The Virginia Board of Nursing views Hampton, Richmond and Virginia Beach campuses as stand-alone programs. The Hampton, Richmond, and Virginia Beach associate degree nursing programs have full approval from the Virginia Board of Nursing. The Wauwatosa and Racine campuses are viewed as one program and are approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing.

Baccalaureate Degrees in Nursing Program

The Bryant & Stratton College baccalaureate degree in nursing program offered at the Parma, OH, Wauwatosa, Racine, WI campuses  and the Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing Program at the Liverpool Campus are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), 655 K Street NW, Washington, DC 20001. The nursing generalist bachelor’s program in Racine and Wauwatosa has approval from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing.

Occupational Therapy Assistant Program

The Occupational Therapy Assistant programs at Wauwatosa, Greece, Solon, and Syracuse are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 6116 Executive Boulevard, Suite 200, North Bethesda, MD 20852-4929. ACOTE can be contacted via phone at (301) 652-AOTA or via the web at www.acoteonline.org. Graduates of the Wauwatosa, Greece, Solon, and Syracuse programs will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapy assistant administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). ACOTE’s most recent action on the program offered at the Solon Campus was to change the accreditation status to probationary, effective December 2, 2023.

Physical Therapist Assistant Program

The Medical Assisting Associate Degree Programs offered at Amherst, Akron, Buffalo, Solon, Greece, Hampton, Henrietta, Parma, Racine, Richmond, Southtowns, Syracuse, Syracuse North, Virginia Beach, and Wauwatosa are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org), on recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB).
