Today, Bryant & Stratton College’s Liverpool, N.Y. campus announced the launch of a bachelor of science degree in nursing beginning January 2021. Students enrolled in the nursing program will learn vital skills reflective of today’s health care environment in a brand-new, state-of-the-art nursing lab built for the new curriculum. The College has a long and successful history of nursing programs offered outside of New York and is pleased to announce the launch of this sought-after nursing degree program in Liverpool. The College currently also offers health care degrees in medical assisting, occupational therapy assistant, physical therapist assistant, health services administration and medical reimbursement and coding.
In preparation for the launch, Bryant & Stratton hired Dr. Rhonda Reader, program director of the bachelor of science degree in Nursing and former dean of Pomeroy College of Nursing. Additionally, highly experienced faculty and instructors will aid in shaping the curriculum.
“At a pivotal time for world health, this innovative new program will produce career-ready nurses prepared for a seamless transition to critically important health care roles following graduation,” says Reader, DNS, RN, CNE, NEA-BC. “In addition to traditional nursing education, our students will be trained for real-life scenarios like Disaster Planning and Management in Nursing to ensure that they leave Bryant & Stratton College with the knowledge necessary to excel from day one in their careers.”
As one of the only regional nursing programs to offer a complete degree pathway through one college from start to finish, students will have the ability to earn their four-year degree and begin their careers in only 32 months. Additionally, in accordance with Bryant & Stratton College’s long history of flexible education and remote offerings, nursing students will have the option of completing their liberal arts requirements online or in a Blended Learning format (combining an online classroom experience with face-to-face instruction).
Students interested in applying are required to achieve a pre-determined score on the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) and complete a round of admission interviews to qualify.
