Students have an opportunity to enroll in a brand new program at Bryant & Stratton College to prepare them for a career as Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs). PTAs are one of the fastest growing occupations in the U.S., according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Considered a high-demand career, it comes with an average salary of $42,980 per year. The program is available at campuses in New York, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
“If you enjoy helping others and are looking for a rewarding future, this is the career for you,” said Michael Sattler, Campus Director at Bryant & Stratton College in Syracuse. “PTAs play a vital role in assisting physical therapists in improving patients’ mobility, strength and coordination.”
In as little as two years, graduates of Bryant & Stratton College’s Associate of Applied Science PTA program will be eligible to take the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) required to enter the profession. Licensed PTAs can then begin providing care to patients in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals and skilled nursing facilities, private practice, home health agencies, schools, sports facilities and work settings.
Students will benefit from the college’s Career LifePrep™, a unique set of experiences offered exclusively by Bryant & Stratton College that helps prepare student at every step in their academic journey, both while in school and after graduation. With a dedicated team of associates, especially faculty, to support and help them navigate their path to their career, students will experience what their chosen career is like while they are still in college, developing skills and confidence, and creating a competitive advantage when they graduate.
