The food drive, kicking off this week, runs through January 15th. Donations are being collected at all three campus locations, Amherst, Buffalo and Orchard Park, in addition to their Systems Office and the Online Campus. “We are so grateful to the staff and students of Bryant & Stratton College for holding this fantastic food drive. Their donation will help the more than 41,000 families that rely on the Food Bank each month.” said Marylou Borowiak, President & CEO of the Food Bank of Western New York. “Unfortunately, many college students continue to struggle with hunger. Of the 165,000 individuals who are assisted by the Food Bank each year, 31 percent have attended or are attending college. The efforts and generosity of Bryant & Stratton College will help the Food Bank continue to fulfill our mission of obtaining and distributing nutritious food to our hungry Western New York neighbors.” Within the Food Bank of Western New York’s four-county service area, (Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara counties) 186,000 individuals – 14% of the population – do not have access at all times to enough food. As part of the WNY community since 1854, Bryant & Stratton College proudly supports the Food Bank of WNY’s mission.
