Benefits for Military Members & Dependents

Benefits for Military Members Attending College

There are several educational student benefits available to veterans and their eligible dependents. You may qualify for one or more of the following educational benefit programs:

  • Post-9/11 GI Bill® – Chapter 33
  • Montgomery GI Bill® (MGIB) – Chapters 30 and 1606
  • Reserve Educational Assistance Program (REAP) – Chapter 1607
  • Vocational Rehabilitation – Chapter 31

The VA determines your eligibility for educational benefits. Schools cannot determine it. You are responsible for applying for your benefits. In order to qualify for these benefits, you must apply online at gibill.va.gov. Use the GI bill comparison resources to compare benefits and determine which benefit(s) you may qualify for.

Questions on your eligibility? Call the VA at 1-888-442-4551.
