Nursing Degree Details

Our private nursing programs are designed to provide a well-rounded education, covering everything from basic patient care to lifespan development. We also offer a variety of clinical rotations to ensure you gain real-world experience before you graduate. Additionally, our nursing programs are accredited, guaranteeing that your degree will be respected by employers. Find the right program for you below!

ADN (General and NY)

The ADN Program at Bryant & Stratton College combines classroom, laboratory, and clinical experiences to build critical-thinking skills and prepare students for a career in the healthcare industry. This program equips graduates with the knowledge needed to pursue their nursing license, including preparation for the NCLEX-RN exam upon graduation. Graduates will be ready for entry-level nursing roles in various healthcare settings, with the requirement of passing background checks and drug screenings.

AAS / ADN Nursing

The Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nursing program is a 20 month, 72-credit program that prepares students for a career in nursing. Upon graduation, you are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam to become a registered nurse.
AAS / ADN Nursing NY

Our Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nursing program prepares you for a career in nursing and is registered with the New York State Education Department. The program includes 64 credits of coursework and upon graduation, you will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam to become a registered nurse. The curriculum covers essential nursing skills, patient care, and clinical practice, providing a strong foundation for your nursing career.

LPN Diploma

The Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and offered at the Ohio, Virginia (Richmond), and Wisconsin campuses. The Practical Nursing Diploma program is offered at the Hampton Campus in Virginia and is applying for accreditation. After completing the 41-credit program that can be completed in as few as 12 months, you will be eligible to take the NCLEX-PN exam, which is required for licensure as a practical nurse.

Practical Nursing Diploma

RN to BSN

The online RN to BSN program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). This program is for registered nurses who are looking to earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The program is offered online in all states except New York, providing flexibility for working nurses. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be prepared to make the transition to professional nursing in a variety of settings.

Earning your certificate or degree in nursing is a huge step toward a career in the dynamic field of healthcare. With so many pathways and specialties to consider, you have a world of options to consider. Whether you want to work in hospitals, private practice, nursing homes, or other healthcare organizations, pursuing a certificate or degree in nursing is essential—but there are other requirements to fulfill, depending on your goals.

Here is a quick overview of nursing pathways for you to consider, from most to least education required:

You can also become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), sometimes called a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), depending on the state. As an LPN, you can play an important role, working under the supervision of physicians to develop treatment plans for all types of patients. Practical nurse programs such as our Practical Nursing Diploma can prepare you for the National Council Licensure Examination for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (NCLEX-PN) to obtain your Practical Nursing license.
If you earn your associate degree in nursing from Bryant & Stratton College, you can be on track to earn your RN-BSN upon completion. Your associate’s nursing courses will help you learn foundational skills, while preparing for a long, successful career that can lead to a wide-variety of nursing careers. This nurse degree follows a curriculum that can help you pass the NCLEX exam to become a registered nurse (RN).

Bryant & Stratton College offers nursing associate degree programs in Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin – as well as a New York ADN degree.
You can pursue RN licensure by completing an ADN or BSN degree program and passing the NLCEX-RN exam. Some nurses go straight to a bachelor’s degree, and others start with an associate degree to begin working as an RN before deciding whether to continue with a shorter RN to BSN degree program. After earning your bachelor’s degree in nursing, you can qualify for graduate-level degree and certificate programs.

Bachelor’s programs to consider:

• BS Degree in Nursing (New York)
• BS Nursing Generalist (Ohio, Wisconsin)
• Online RN to BSN (Available in all states except NY and CA)
Many students choose to begin their career in nursing by completing a CNA program. While this type of program does not result in a degree, it can still prepare you for the NCLEX exam. This is an efficient path for students who want to start working in nursing as quickly as possible while leaving the door open for diploma or degree programs down the road. Our Virginia and Wisconsin Nurse Aide training programs are perfect examples of how you can prepare to become a certified nurse aid without a degree.

Depending on the degree program, you could be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) working under the oversight of Registered Nurses (RN) and Medical Doctors (MD) to provide hands-on patient care, from monitoring vital signs to changing bandages. RNs have a bigger role in providing and coordinating patient care.

At Bryant & Stratton College, our Practical Nursing Diploma can help you gain the skills, education and experience you need to take the NCLEX-PN exam and become a Licensed Practical Nurse in about a year. We also offer a two-year AAS in Nursing degree that can prepare you to take the NCLEX-RN and become a Registered Nurse (RN).

There are diploma programs that can help you become a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN). If you want to become a Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll need to complete at least an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and take the NCLEX-RN exam. Of course, you can continue moving up the career ladder with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or even a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).

That depends on your ultimate nursing goal. To become a Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll need to complete at least an associate-level degree from an accredited nursing program. Then you’ll need to take the NCLEX-RN exam. If you want to start your nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse, you can pursue a less-intensive practical nursing diploma before taking the NCLEX-PN exam.
