Milan Jakovljevic has become the most recent Bryant & Stratton College Bobcats soccer alum to sign with a professional club after inking a deal with Utica City FC of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL).
Jakovljevic, a three-time USCAA First Team All American, was a key member of the Bobcats soccer team’s four-consecutive appearances in the USCAA National Championship game from 2016-19. Jakovljevic captained the 2019 side which captured the 2019 USCAA National Championship for Bryant & Stratton College. It was the second National Title for the Bobcats soccer program and third title in any sport for Bryant & Stratton College.
Over the course of his four-year career with the Bobcats, Jakovljevic appeared in over 45 games, starting in 41 of them. A defensive stalwart, he added three goals and three assists over the course of his career while serving as a key anchor for the Bobcats’ back line.
He joins Utica City FC as the club prepares to celebrate their 10th season in the MASL. Utica City finished the 2019-20 season in third place in the Eastern Conference after finishing first in the 2018-19 season. Utica City is among the 11 MASL clubs competing in the 2020-21 season.
