Three Scholarships That Can Help Graduating High School Students Go Further

Paying for college can be a confusing blur of names, acronyms, and categories.

One of the simplest sources of funding your education is scholarships. A scholarship is a kind of “gift aid,” meaning that it doesn’t have to be repaid. Scholarships are given to students who meet certain criteria, most often for academic or athletic excellence.

Many organizations give scholarships: companies, unions, community groups, and nonprofit organizations. So do colleges themselves. Bryant & Stratton College has dozens of scholarship programs available for almost every type of student. But if you’re coming straight from high school, here are three in particular that can make it a lot easier for you to come here. All three are based on both your academic performance and the commitment you’re willing to make to your education.

The Premier Performance Scholarship

Bryant & Stratton College’s Premier Performance academic scholarship awards students up to $10,000 per academic year for enrolling with us. To qualify, a student has to have a high school GPA of 3.8 or higher, or an SAT score of 1320 or higher, or an ACT score of 28 or higher. To clarify, qualifying students have to meet one of those three standards, not all three. Students who receive this scholarship also have to be graduating from high school within the current year, enroll at Bryant & Stratton, and maintain full-time enrollment. The Premier Performance Scholarship is renewable too. As long as you maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, you can keep receiving it each year you’re at Bryant & Stratton College.

The Honor Performance Scholarship

The Honor Performance Scholarship is similar to the Premier. It offers $9,000 per academic year and has the same enrollment criteria: Recipients have to be graduating from high school within the current year and have to enroll at Bryant & Stratton College full-time. To receive this   scholarship, students have to have a 3.6 GPA or higher, a 1200 or higher on the SAT, or a 25 or higher on the ACT.

The Merit Performance Scholarship

Our Merit Performance Scholarship offers $5,000 per academic year based on the same graduation and enrollment criteria. It’s available to incoming students who have a 3.2 GPA in high school, a 950 or higher on the SATs, or an ACT score of 18 or higher.
