The Lady Bobcats Did it!
By B&SC News Team
Monday, 10/27/14, will go in the books as an historical moment. The Lady Bobcats were selected as a one of the top 10 USCAA teams to compete for the National Championship in Charleston, West Virginia. The Lady Bobcats had to wait until the last moment to find out they had secured the final seed (# 10). The excitement from the team after the surprise announcement could be heard from blocks away! “This was one of most exciting moments in my short coaching career and my life” said Coach Grigorita soon after the announcement. The event itself was filled with a lot of positive emotions. The attendance of the bid selection was widely attended by associates and students in our new Student Union with local television coverage live on the scene. We proved once again that Bryant & Stratton is a big family and that athletics is a big part of our campus life.
We have since been moved to the # 9 seed so our team will face host WVU Tech in the first round. “We don’t much about them nor do they know much about us. The National Championship Tournament is an exciting event and offers a priceless experience that will give our team memories to last a lifetime” said Coach Grigorita. The Lady Bobcats will play their first game on Wednesday at 11:00 am. You can watch the tournament games live on the USCAA website. “We are hoping that all campuses will make it available in student and employee lounges at your local campus” said Coach Grigorita. Feel free to access the USCAA Network (http://theuscaa.com/landing/index) for live coverage and brackets.
