This course introduces students to medical insurance and billing cycle tasks common across healthcare systems as well as third- party payers and commercial insurance plans. Topics include claim form preparation, processing and submission activities, in addition to basic coding nomenclature. Students will also examine plan options, payer requirements, state and federal regulations.
