Home / News / College’s Medical Assisting Program October 7, 2013 College’s Medical Assisting Program By B&SC News Team RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 7, 2013 – The Medical Assisting Associate Degree program at Bryant & Stratton College’s Richmond Campus has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, the nation’s largest accreditor in the health sciences field. The accreditation, which occurs every ten years, followed extensive peer review and site visits of the College’s medical assisting program. Bryant & Stratton College’s Dean of Instruction Darlene Lachut cited Bonita Grant, Program Director for Allied Health, for her leadership during the review process and the “faculty and staff that work hard on a daily basis to ensure compliance.” “As the field of medical assisting continues its rapid growth,” College Campus Director Joette Lehberger said, “this honor confirms our confidence in offering our students and the health care community a top-notch program led and taught by a staff of dedicated hard-working professionals.” The Medical Assisting programs offered at Buffalo, Cleveland Downtown, Eastlake, Greece, Hampton, Henrietta, Milwaukee, Parma, Richmond, Southtowns (Orchard Park, NY), Syracuse, Syracuse North (Liverpool, NY) ,Virginia Beach and Wauwatosa are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org),on recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB).
