SEYMOUR H. KNOX, IVWILL DELIVER COMMENCEMENT ADDRESS
Buffalo, NY - Bryant & Stratton College's Amherst, Southtowns, and Buffalo campuses, along with the College’s Online Education division, will hold their 157th Commencement Exercises at the Event Center on the Fairgrounds in Hamburg, New York, on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 4:00pm.
The commencement address will be delivered by Seymour H. Knox, IV. The Knox family has always been a great supporter of Western New York and Seymour has been deeply involved in their efforts from the family’s previous ownership of The Buffalo Sabres, to the founding of the Buffalo Bandits, WNYB TV 49, the building of HSBC Arena, and founding of the Buffalo Sabres Alumni Association and Buffalo Sabres Foundation. In addition to his family’s contributions to Western New York, his personal business interests and willingness to share his knowledge with our students through on-campus speaking engagements make him the perfect choice to inspire this year’s graduating class.
In Western New York, Bryant & Stratton College's Class of 2011 consists of 781 graduates. One hundred and five of these graduates have completed their bachelor degree studies through the college’s General Management Bachelor of Business Administration program. The remaining 676 graduates have earned their associate degrees in the areas of Accounting, Administrative Assisting, Business, Criminal Justice, Graphic Design, Human Resources Specialist, Information Technology, Interactive Media Design, Medical Administrative Assisting, Medical Assisting, Networking Technology, Paralegal Studies, and Security Technology. In keeping with recent trends in education, these graduates completed their degrees in one of three ways: entirely through campus-based classes, entirely online through the college’s Online Education division, or through a combination of campus-based and online study. In total, 463 of these graduates are expected to participate in this year’s commencement exercises.
