Gain the skills needed to take on a role in a medical office handling front-end administrative duties or medical billing with the Medical Administrative Assistant associate degree program from Bryant & Stratton College. The Medical Administrative Assistant associate degree program does not focus on patient care; rather, it focuses on the business and administrative sides of the medical field.
Students will develop a foundation of business and administrative practices specific to the medical field while also gaining a strong background in the key practices of medical billing. Graduates of the Medical Administrative Assistant degree program have the opportunity to earn the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate (ACT NCRC), a credential which is regarded as a valid predictor of job performance and is often looked for by employers.

The online Medical Administrative Assistant associate degree program follows the same outcomes and curriculum as the campus-based program with the added flexibility and convenience of an online program. Graduates with a Medical Administrative associate degree may find employment as admissions coordinators, medical receptionists, or physician office specialists. Professionals in all of these roles, are responsible for checking-in patients and visitors, scheduling appointments, and communicating with medical staff. Some may also process billing, handle insurance forms, or transcribe physician recordings.
