In this business program, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of business principles and practices, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in a dynamic and competitive business environment. This program focuses on developing critical thinking skills, ethical awareness, and the practical application of technology in various business contexts. Graduates will be prepared to navigate the challenges of owning, operating, and managing businesses effectively. Graduates of this program may apply credits earned toward the General Management bachelor's degree program.

Graduates of this degree plan will achieve the following program and institutional outcomes:

  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills to solve problems and make decisions based on current business principles.
  • Discuss the awareness of ethical behaviors within the business environment. 
  • Identify the processes needed to succeed when owning and operating a business.
  • Evaluate information related to topics in management and leadership using comprehensive analysis and critical thinking skills.
  • Interpret the importance of data analysis within the business environment to make informed decisions.
  • Apply current technology skills to specific business applications.
  • Utilize appropriate current technology and resources to locate and evaluate information needed to accomplish a goal, and then communicate findings in visual, written and/or oral formats.
  • Transfer knowledge, skills and behaviors acquired through formal and informal learning and life experiences to new situations.
  • Employ strategies for reflection on learning and practice in order to adjust learning processes for continual improvement.
  • Follow established methods of inquiry and mathematical reasoning to form conclusions and make decisions.
  • Participate in social, academic, and professional communities for individual growth and to function as a citizen of a multicultural world.
