SOSC225 - Career Development II: Theory and Practice

Semester Credit Hour(s): 3 (SS)

This advanced career development course builds upon foundational career planning skills by focusing on practical application and professional readiness. Students will engage in mock interviews, refine their resumes and cover letters, and develop a strong online professional presence. Students will use a career development platform to connect with industry professionals and explore job and internship opportunities. Throughout this course, students will enhance their communication, problem-solving, and networking skills. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to confidently pursue their career goals and successfully transition into the workforce or further academic pursuits.

Prerequisite(s): SOSC115 Except for MATG and MCCG. MCCG students must complete MCCG146 or MCCG147 prior to enrolling in SOSC225.
